Adventures of the Fairbanks Power Hammer
In late fall 2003 the Conway Tool & Forge made a major purchase: a Fairbanks Power Hammer. Manufactured in 1894 in St. Johnsbury, Vermont (cast by the Fairbanks Scale Company) and weighing in at just over 2,900 pounds, transporting the hammer was no easy job.
